It was established in 2006 to minimize the number of no-shows in the healthcare sector. People who forget their appointments and don't show up are a huge cost in hospitals. By reminding patients of their appointment 24 hours in advance via a text message, the hospitals we work with have reduced that cost by 70 percent. We are now also working with organizations such as DPD and PostNL to reduce their no-shows at the door, and we provide messaging campaigns with SMS and WhatsApp for a wide range of companies. And then, of course, there are the payment reminders for POM, so that collections don't stay open for too long.”

Streamline

A payment reminder via SMS with a payment link linked to it works perfectly, Naomi knows. “People get the message on their phones, so they can pay on their phones right away. And also error-free, because all payment details have already been filled in. It's just very accessible.” Mark de Roode, commercial director at POM, fully agrees. “If you are at a critical point in the collection process, it is important to streamline the process as much as possible on all sides. It has to be personal, direct, accessible and fast. Then SMS is a very good tool.”

Data enrichment

The collaboration between POM and Spryng dates back many years. “We use their service for transactional communication, i.e. payment reminders to our clients' end customers,” says Mark. “Thanks to an API link, our customers can add SMS to their flows very easily. They can also see exactly how many text messages they've sent and what the costs are.”

For a while, we also had a payment platform ourselves: Spryng Payments. To do so, we had to obtain licenses from the Dutch bank. So we know the hat and the brim in that area.”
